Tightroped

Tightroped

I treaded carefully

Upon the Tightroped leaves.

But the shadowed weeds

Caught me by the ankles.

Biting into my Dimpled Feet,

They bled with laughter,

They wouldn’t let me go.

I smiled at the worms,

As they slid into my shoes.

I’ve never had such Friendly Neighbors-

who bathe in the rainwater of

Demonic Smiles.

God laughs too,

But mines the last.
